You have two full days to explore the birthplace of jazz and home of the colourful Mardi Gras. New Orleans is lively, historically-rich and known for its raucous nightlife, pulsing live music scene and spicy cuisine. A city where French, African and American cultures come together, it embodies the spirit of Mardi Gras, the fiery festival known for its street parties and wild costumed parades. Why not take an optional city tour to see the French Quarter, including St Louis Cathedral, Jackson Square and Bourbon Street, and the Garden District, to admire its stately mansions. If there is time, experience the Algiers Ferry on the iconic Mississippi River.
