Travel update as of 28 September 2020
We are voluntarily suspending our tours and cruises from now until 31 December 2020. A limited number of domestic tours will still operate this year. We will get in touch with all affected customers during the next ten days; there is no need for you to call us.
We are unveiling an enhanced Peace of Mind travel plan, giving everyone affected the right options and adequate time to reset their travel plans to rebook their holidays.
We understand the value in giving our guests flexibility in light of the ever-changing travel landscape and look forward to hosting you on your trip when the time is right for you.
In response to elevated travel restrictions and government advisements, we have made the decision to suspend operations until 31 December 2020. A limited number of domestic tours will still operate this year.
Given these circumstances, Cosmos has introduced an unprecedented program designed to give our travellers options when considering their travel plans—the Peace of Mind Travel Plan.
Through this plan, Cosmos is now allowing all currently booked travellers between 14 March and 31 December 2020 to move travel dates easily and without incurring cancellation fees, land or airline penalties*.
You are free to move your booking to any Globus family of brands (Globus, Cosmos or Avalon Waterways) holiday for any destination. If you are not ready to choose your new holiday, the full value paid to us will be provided via a Letter of Credit, redeemable for any future 2021 or 2022 departure, and is transferrable.
To help make moving your original holiday easy, the Peace of Mind Travel Plan for this period comes with an additional bonus credit. This bonus credit of up to £150 per person will be in addition to your Letter of Credit, redeemable for any future 2021 or 2022 holiday:
Bonus credit of £150 when redeemed for an Avalon Waterways cruise
Bonus credit of £75 when redeemed for a Globus tour
Bonus credit of £75 when redeemed for a Cosmos tour or £40 for an Escapes by Globus tour
The Peace of Mind plan also applies to tours combining Holland America Line cruises and VIA Rail packages, both having suspended operations through the 2020 travel season.
*Peace of Mind offer valid for travel before 31 December 2020 until further notice. Offer also applies to all Globus family of brands holidays which include Holland America Line cruises or VIA Rail packages. Refund in the form of a Letter of Credit, redeemable for travel departing by 31 December 2022. The new booking bonus will be in addition to the Letter of Credit amount. Bonus amount not transferrable. Only one booking bonus per person can be applied per reservation. Changes in airfare may apply, and the new booking is subject to any increase in holiday price for 2021 and 2022 travel. Offer may be withdrawn at any time and other restrictions may apply.
