If your idea of meeting the locals is cradling koalas, hand feeding kangaroos, and laughing with a school of clownfish, then this is the vacation for you. Animal lovers unite on this spectacular safari tour of Australia. From Brisbane’s Australia Zoo, “Home of the Crocodile Hunter,” to Alice Spring’s Kangaroo Sanctuary, “Home of the Kangaroo Dundee,” you’ll get to know Down Under’s most colorful creatures and characters. The furry fun continues with a hop over to Melbourne to witness Phillip Island’s famous heartwarming Penguin Parade. Wombats and wallabies welcome you to the island state of Tasmania, as does the infamous Tasmanian devil—in its own unique way. Going below the surface, this in-depth tour of Australia also leads you to the marine life at the Great Barrier Reef, the whales, seals, and dolphins off the Tasman Peninsula, and the city and harbors of sunny Sydney.

Some of the friendliest “locals” you’ll ever meet are just off the west coast of Australia. Add a Monograms vacation to the Ningaloo Reef to your tour of Australia for the once-in-a-lifetime experience of swimming alongside the gentle whale sharks or humpback whales.

Day
22

Today enjoy a once-in-a-life time opportunity to glide alongside whale sharks (April-June) or Humpback whales (July-September). Swimming with one of these beautiful creatures is one of life’s most breathtaking experiences. Also be on the lookout for other playful creations like manta rays, turtles, dolphins, dugongs, and tropical fish. Whale watchers are welcome onboard as well (those not wanting to snorkel). Return to Exmouth where the remainder of the day is at leisure.
NOTE:Both whale sharks and Humpback whales are wild creatures. Everything will be done to maximize the likelihood you will swim with a whale, but we cannot guarantee it. Since the whales will continually move, swimming is required to do the interaction. You will need to be a confident swimmer and be able to snorkel and swim freestyle. The whales are found in the open ocean so you may be swimming in currents and swells. If you do not wish to get in the water, you may remain on the boat and watch these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat.

Meals included:

  • Breakfast
  • Lunch

THE NINGALOO REEF (EXMOUTH).
