Fantastic 3 weeks . Canada was lovely ,and the Hawaii extension was wonderful
With the exception of the train journey ( too delayed ) everything was wonderful, well organised and managed by Mel the tour director, with a very enjoyable and versatile group making the holiday memorable.
VIA The Canadian train, our accommodation on the train was wonderful we were lucky enough to book Prestigue Class, we had personal service, the food was exceptional.
We were surprised and delighted by the content of the holiday, the tours the hotels, we stayed in six hotels and the VIA train
All the hotels were in good central locations. Our tour guid was so professional efficient unfflaperble her knowledge and detailed information throughout the tour delivered with humour outstanding.
Unfortunately Via Rail was delayed so we didn't board train till day after due to delays
Amazing time and a good holiday
Tour was good and guide (Anette Conrad) was excellent throughout. Very organised and knowledgeable. Train ride was very good, but, somewhat disappointed with standard of some of hotels used. Chelsea Hotel in Toronto was ok. Lobstick Lodge in Jasper seemed ok but discovered after we moved on from there that some of fellow travellers had discovered mice in 2 of the rooms. Ramada Inn in Canmore was shabby and our room wasn't cleaned, beds not made and new towels not supplied. Informed front desk who didn't seem overly concerned. Ramada Inn in Kamloops was ok, but, on morning of departure, toilet blocked and ballcock broke at same time resulting in waste flooding back into bathroom and onto carpet in bedroom. Royal Scot in Victoria was best of hotels we stayed at. Clean and spacious room. Lastly, Sandman Suites on Davie in Vancouver was poorest of all. Room wasn't ready when we arrived in the afternoon and after waiting a short time we were allocated another room. This alternative appeared not to have been refurbished (maybe this was why it was instantly available as an alternative). Decorations were very shabby. Kitchen unit broken at base. Bathroom door damaged at bottom. Shower curtain didn't contain flow of water from shower resulting in flooding of floor every time it was used. Our tour rep asked front desk if we could be moved after first night but was told nothing else available and to ask again day after. By that time we only had 2 more nights to stay so we left it. Poor hotel with poor service.
Brilliant trip, highly recommended. Great itinerary and good value
The holiday was great at the start but was spoiled by the train journey late in starting and delayed all the way never getting to our destination on time when we picked up the coach the holiday was back to great again James showed us and recommended all the best places to go
Great choice of optional excursions at reasonable prices.

Setting Toronto’s exciting architectural pace are City Hall; the downtown banking district; Roger’s Center; and stunning CN Tower, more than a third of a mile high. See all this and more on your city sightseeing tour. This evening, join the optional outing that combines dinner with the spectacular sight of Toronto’s lights from the CN Tower. Afterward, transfer to Union Station for a late evening departure on the CANADIAN, VIA Rail’s premier transcontinental train. Continue down Icefields Parkway to Lake Louise, where cold waters mirror the surrounding mountains and glaciers. Arrive in BANFF NATIONAL PARK for a leisurely 2-night stay.
This morning, consider an optional helicopter ride over the Canadian Rockies. The day is free to independently explore this resort town located within Banff National Park. Stroll Banff Avenue, the main thoroughfare of boutiques and souvenir shops. The surrounding 2,564 square miles of parkland are home to wildlife including elk and grizzly bears. This evening your Tour Director will suggest an optional horse-drawn wagon ride along scenic trails followed by a BBQ steak dinner.
This morning, leave Banff National Park and travel over Kicking Horse Pass on the Continental Divide. Travel through YOHO NATIONAL PARK, where pre-Cambrian fossils were discovered, and GLACIER NATIONAL PARK, where recreational mountain climbing was introduced to North America a century ago. Late this afternoon, arrive at the cattle-ranching centre of Kamloops.
As you travel through the Coast Mountain Range to its majestic Pacific coastline, the vegetation changes from desert landscape to lush alpine forests. Board your afternoon ferry for the spectacular crossing to Vancouver Island. Sightseeing in Victoria includes the worldfamous BUTCHART GARDENS, the Inner Harbour, Bastion Square, and Thunderbird Park. This evening, consider strolling along the Waterfront Promenade.
Be sure to discover some of the attractions this splendid city has to offer, including the Royal British Columbia Museum, Afternoon Tea at the Empress Hotel, a whale-watching cruise on the Strait of Juan de Fuca, and fine shopping along Government Street.

Today is at leisure for independent sightseeing. Maybe take a water taxi to lively Granville Island with its outdoor markets, street musicians, and waterfront cafés. Or, re-visit historic Gastown with its steam-powered clock, antique shops, art galleries, and street vendors.
Your holiday ends this morning.
You will be transferred to the airport for your flight to the UK.
