Our VIP home pick-up service is included up to 50 miles to your departure airport. Your driver will happily load and unload your luggage, and drive you to your departure terminal. At the close of your trip, you'll be welcomed by your driver in the arrivals hall and returned home again. A supplement is payable per mile over 50 miles.

Enjoy a guided sightseeing tour of the historic city of Boston, dubbed the 'Cradle of Liberty' for its central role in the War of American Independence. See Boston Common and Old North Church, where lanterns were hung to warn patriots of oncoming British forces. Other highlights include Faneuil Hall, Quincy Market and the Old State House. Afterwards, board a harbour cruise to see the USS Constitution and Bunker Hill Monument. The rest of the day is at leisure.

3

Start today by visiting the JFK National Historic Site, the birthplace and childhood home of the 35th President of the United States. Learn about Kennedy’s early years and the events that helped shape him. Continue to the JFK Presidential Library and Museum. Experience John F. Kennedy’s life, legacy and leadership. See personal artifacts from Kennedy’s Oval office and discover Kennedy’s influence on the U.S. Space Program, the American Civil Rights Movement and more. The rest of the day is at leisure so perhaps shop for souvenirs at Faneuil Hall, catch a game at the oldest baseball park in the major league – home of the Boston Red Sox – Fenway Park, or enjoy a cool drink at the original 'Cheers' pub, where everyone knows your name!

Boston - Plymouth - Hyannis

Today, travel south to Plymouth, where the Pilgrim Fathers landed more than 390 years ago and founded the first permanent settlement in New England. See famous Plymouth Rock and board a full-scale replica of the Mayflower II. Next, visit Plimouth Plantation and learn about how daily life was for the Pilgrims. Continue to Flax Pond Farm, a working cranberry bog and learn how cranberries are harvested and processed. Continue to Hyannis to see the John F. Kennedy Memorial and St. Francis Xavier Church. The next four nights will be at the Red Jacket Beach resort. Dinner this evening is at a local restaurant. NOTE: In preparation for the 400th anniversary of the sailing of the Mayflower, the Mayflower II may be closed for renovations and not available to visit. If this should happen, alternative sightseeing will be provided.

Hyannis - Nantucket - Hyannis

This morning, head to the harbour for the ferry ride over to Nantucket. There will be time for lunch and a stroll around Straight Wharf with its marinas, shops and art galleries. An included guided tour highlights the strong Quaker influence during the early days of settlement. Drive the narrow streets and admire charming Colonial-style houses and imposing mansions that reflect the prosperity of Nantucket's whaling era. Enjoy time at leisure and perhaps visit the Whaling Museum with its top-quality exhibitions and rooftop observation deck.

Hyannis - Cape Cod - Hayannis

From Hyannis drive the length of the peninsula's arm to Provincetown and Cape Cod National Seashore. At MacMillan Wharf, board a cruise boat and head out to sea for a Whale Warching Expedition, narrated by a local marine biologist. Later, enjoy free time to wander through "P-town," a lively summer resort and artist's colony. Return to Hyannis, where the remainder of the day is at leisure.

Hyannis - Martha's Vineyard - Hyannis

This morning take the ferry to Martha's Vineyard and enjoy a tour that features Oak Bluffs with its Victorian "gingerbread" architecture and the multi-coloured cliffs of Gay Head. Spend some time in Edgartown, once an important shipping and whaling centre. There will be time to see the village stores, take a walk along the ocean front and admire the elegant homes along the tree-lined streets during free time here. Later, return to Hyannis for a traditional Lobster & Seafood Bake dinner—the perfect ending to the day!

Hyannis - New Bedford - Newport

Before departing Hyannis, visit the JFK Hyannis Museum. Through photographs, film, artifacts and oral histories, learn more about the Kennedy family and their importance in the Hyannis community. Next, head to New Bedford on Buzzard’s Bay. See the cobblestone streets, the early 19th-century Seamen’s Bethel chapel, the wharves crowded with fishing boats and fisherman – all the sights and scenes of this former whaling port of Moby Dick fame. Then, journey south to Newport, an elegant yachting town on Narraganset Bay in the “Ocean State” of Rhode Island. Since JFK was an avid sailor, there is a cruise around Newport’s waterfront. The boat was originally built in the 1920’s and used a rum smuggler by mobsters during the height of prohibition.

Explore more of Newport this morning and see some of the sites related to JFK. See Saint Mary’s Church where JFK married Jacqueline Bouvier in 1953, see Hammersmith Farm the childhood home of Jacqueline as well as where their wedding reception was held and Whitehorse Tavern, a favourite place of Jackie’s. Additional sightseeing includes the first state house, the nation’s oldest synagogue and the city’s oldest meeting house and library. Afterwards, explore the extravagant lifestyle of a bygone era when visiting The Breakers, shipping magnate Cornelius Vanderbilt’s opulent mansion. This evening, your Tour Director hosts a special farewell dinner at a local restaurant.
