Take a walking tour of Boston along the Freedom Trail to see legendary landmarks, including Boston Common and the Old North Church. Take a harbor cruise to see Bunker Hill Memorial and the site of the Boston Tea Party. Visit the former home of many Mayflower passengers in Duxbury, and enter the Alden House Historic Site. Enjoy a 5-night stay in a traditional seaside resort on the Cape Cod. You’ll take an excursion to Plymouth, where Pilgrims first made their claim for the new frontier some 400 years ago. See famous Plymouth Rock and board a full-scale reproduction of the Mayflower to envision the sailing of 1620. Explore Plimouth Plantation, attend a 17th-century Wampanoag feast and Embarkation Festival to honor the culture and traditions of four centuries ago.

Take a ferry to Nantucket for a guided tour of early Quaker settlements. Explore the charming Colonial-style houses and mansions from Nantucket’s whaling heyday, and visit the Whaling Museum. Ferry back to Hyannis to see the John F. Kennedy Memorial and St. Francis Xavier Church. Drive up the peninsula to Provincetown to see the site of the signing of the Mayflower Compact and the pilgrims’ first landing, then cross the water to Martha’s Vineyard for a guided tour featuring the Victorian streets, charming shops, and elegant homes in this former whaling village. Visit the yachting mecca in Newport’s Narragansett Bay, and take a tour of the historic sites of this Rhode Island seaport. Experience the opulent lifestyle of shipping tycoon Cornelius Vanderbilt with a tour of his mansion, The Breakers.

Raise a glass with a farewell dinner to commemorate the 400th anniversary of the Mayflower’s landing, then conclude your trip in Boston—scene of the American Revolution.
