Founded by Juan Ponce de Leon in 1565, St Augustine is the oldest European city in the United States. Enjoy a history lesson from an expert guide, see the sites and discover the attractions on St Augustine's hop-on-hop-off sightseeing trolley. There’s free time to wander its galleries and boutiques and the elegant Alcazar Courtyard of the St Augustine City Hall and Lightner Museum, with its extensive collections of fine and decorative art from the 19th century. Visit the Oldest Wooden Schoolhouse in the USA or venture onto the shore to see the 17th century Castillo de San Marcos National Monument.

Travel to Greater Miami for an excursion which includes Fort Lauderdale, Miami and Miami Beach. Wander the palm-lined beach and laidback streets of South Beach and its colourful art deco buildings; look out for the “Versace Mansion”, now an exclusive, luxury boutique hotel. Return to Fort Lauderdale and the rest of the day is at leisure.
Head south along the Overseas Highway, crossing 42 bridges through the tropical islands of Florida Keys, to Key West; the picturesque, southernmost town in the continental United States. This evening pay a visit to Mallory Square for sunset views and then wander the colourful cafés of Duval Street.
Enjoy a full day exploring the sub-tropical island city of Key West, boasting Victorian homes, gingerbread conch houses and mansions on the National Register. There’s a host of interesting local landmarks to visit, including Ernest Hemingway House on Whitehead St – now a museum dedicated to the famous author - and Harry Truman's Little Whitehouse, or the John Audubon House and Gardens. No trip would be complete without a visit to the Southernmost Point in the US, situated less than 90 miles north of Cuba.
Return to the mainland and the subtropical wilderness of the Everglades to board an airboat for a thrilling ride through the extensive swamplands, before arriving in Fort Myers.
Begin the day with a visit to Fort Myers, the winter home and laboratory of the famous inventor Thomas Edison. Study his collection of intriguing inventions on a guided tour of the museum. Be sure not to miss the enormous banyan tree in the tropical, botanical garden and then step through the always open 'Friendship Gate' to visit Henry Ford's winter home. Later, cross Tampa Bay over the impressive Sunshine Skyway Bridge to the resort of Clearwater Beach, with its charming white sandy beaches. In the evening, there’s the chance to take an optional dinner cruise through Florida's peaceful inland waters.
A full day to relax at Clearwater Beach. The Clearwater area offers a fine selection of warm weather activities, including tennis, golf, deep-sea fishing, and a variety of watersports.
Transfer to the airport for your flight to the UK, or extend your stay in Orlando and/or Clearwater Beach.

The good was very good but was outweighed by one thing after another spoiling the holiday. 3 of the 4 flights were delayed. Not directly the fault of Cosmos but the choice of flights to get us to our destination is yours & would be poor even without the delays and in our experience very stressful. The choice of United airlines as your carrier is also down to Cosmos. The UA staff were excellent but on our return flight there was no in-flight entertainment available unless you had your own tablet etc & had downloaded their App (which we were not informed until we were on the plane & it was then to late to download unless you paid extra). 7, (or 8 due to delay) flight with no entertainment!! Hotels Cocoa Beach - Average hotel but lack of surrounding restaurants etc to cater for overnight stay. Woken at 2 in the morning by man banging on the door shouting "maintenance" Not even an apology when I told him he had the wrong room. Ft Lauderdale. Good hotel but our room infested with cockroach type insects when we got up on the first morning. Were moved room quickly but this meant missed breakfast as we had to get to the coach. Promised contact from the manager but none came. Ft Myers. Hotel at time of booking in historic area but on arrival an airport hotel with only the usual amenities around it. Clearwater. Average to poor hotel that when I looked on google earth at the time of booking had a reasonable open aspect. Now has another imposing hotel built looking over it in what was the car park, taking the sun off ours for most of the day. Unable to get into room on return one day, because the cards had been cancelled. Was told "not a problem" at reception "I'll do 2 more" Not a problem to him but was to me! IHOP refurb (dust, noise, lack of facility) already mentioned previously. Transfer from Clearwater to Orlando. Late pick up which then only arrived after 2 phone calls to get him to us because he'd gone to the wrong hotel! When arriving in Orlando, driver demanded voucher (which we were told we didn't need) and had to argue that he rang his office to confirm. Qrlando. Nice hotel, but on departure day had houskeeping knocking the door telling us we had to be out of the room by 11 even though the information in the room said 12. Another argument!! Generally, even at the good hotels the tour group seemed to be accommodated in the annex type rooms (the cheaper option??) There are other issues but I think I've outlined the reason for my poor review. Biggest disappointment was that we extended our holiday to be able to just relax at the end of a busy tour & was unable to do so.
A lot of travelling for not so many sights. Only about 2 hours in Miami. Hotel standard very average.
