A little challenging on occasions because of cold/wet unseasonal weather....

A little challenging on occasions because of cold/wet unseasonal weather. We enjoyed the nights where we were able to go out for meals locally. Some of the hotel meals were just average. I can see the advantage of eating dinner at hotel if location is isolated, but if we are central then a chance to enjoy local delicacies and customs first hand. Maybe a reduction in price to accommodate this? Loved the choice of places we visited, good selection.

Founded by the Phoenicians around 770 BCE, it’s one of the oldest cities in the world and home to two massive hilltop citadels, remnants of Moorish rule. Later, head inland through grandiose scenery for a stop in Loja. Captured and held by the Moors, it was formerly known as Medina Lawsa until it was recaptured by the Christians in 1486 during the Reconquista. Explore this “flower among thorns” before continuing to Granada, located at the foot of the great Sierra Nevada mountain range and at the confluence of four rivers.
