A sun-drenched southern Spain adventure that sees you exploring Moorish landmarks, sampling locally produced wine and walking in the footsteps of Ernest Hemingway.
Fly to Malaga where you will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel.
Begin the day with an orientation drive around Malaga, before heading inland through grandiose scenery stopping in Loja, formerly the Moorish town of the Medina Lawsa, captured by the Christians in 1486 during in the Reconquista. Arrive in Granada, located at the foot of the great Sierra Nevada mountain range, where you will stay for two nights. The rest of the day is yours so why not join the optional city sightseeing to discover the delights of the ancient Moorish city of Granada.
Today sees one of the highlights of your trip - your included sightseeing tour of the famous and fascinating Alhambra complex with a local guide (please note that entrance to the Nasrid palace is not guaranteed). This splendid example of intricate Moorish architecture stands on a hilltop overlooking the city and is backed by the snowy peaks of the Sierra Nevada.
Drive through the undulating vineyards of Andalucia, for a stop in Montilla where you'll visit a typical Andalucian wine bodega. Next to Cordoba, perhaps Spain's most Moorish city. An optional tour takes you to what used to be its great mosque - known as one of Islam's greatest pieces of architecture outside the Arab world - which is now a Catholic cathedral. You'll enjoy the old whitewashed houses with their patios opening onto the winding streets and small squares. The afternoon is at leisure.
Journey further into the very heart of Andalucia, to the picturesque town of Ecija, then drive through Carmona, dominated by an ancient Alcazar. Just a few more miles on to the elegant city of Seville, where you will enjoy an included city sightseeing to see many of the city's highlights. In the evening you have the chance to experience the colourful spectacle of Seville's famous dance culture on our optional Flamenco excursion.
The day is yours to do some serious sightseeing around the beautiful Andalucian capital. Enjoy tapas in one of the many bars, do some shopping the famous Calle Sierpes, or visit the Alcazar at your own pace.
Today, drive along the some of the beautiful scenic "Route of the Pueblos Blancos", with a stop in Ronda, where Ernest Hemingway and Orson Wells spent many summers as part-time residents. This is a town full of historic charm with pretty streets and three stunning bridges, the highlight being the Puente Nuevo, a spectacular 18th century bridge offering sheer breath-taking views of the Tajo Gorge. We then continue to the Costa del Sol passing by some of the famous sea-side resorts on the way to the Malaga area.
Transfer to the airport for your flight to the UK, or extend your stay in the Costa del Sol.

Day3: Entrance to the Nasrid palace is not guaranteed
We enjoyed out trip very much - only downside was that some of the hotels we felt were not up to standard, we were given a choc ice for pudding in one hotel as a dessert - the food was not good at that venue.
Hotel Selu in Cordaba was not of the same standard as the other hotels with (in our case) a cramped bathroom, set menu only and an ice cream lolly for a pudding,
Our overall tour was spoilt by 2 awful days staying at your poor hotel of choice in Granada. It really did leaving us feeling very disappointed.
The one included trip in the tour had no tickets for the main attraction, the Alhambra Palace. Had we been aware that this may have been an issue we would not have booked this holiday with this company. Had the company have told us before, we could have booked tickets online from home. Otherwise good holiday.
There's no need to shop around. Find a cheaper like-for- like tour from another company, and we’ll not only match their price but also give you a £50 discount when you book with us.
