Our VIP home pick-up service is included up to 50 miles to your departure airport. Your driver will happily load and unload your luggage, and drive you to your departure terminal. Guide was excellent very knowledgeable. All time tables for the day met' He warned us that breakfast at the Piccadilly Hotel would be a problem. Most guests leaving about 8.00-8.30 am Hotel had insufficient glasses cups. However that was the only minor problem accommodation at other addresses certainly in the 5 star category. At airport met by another courier who made sure we went to correct check-in gate

Delhi is a magnetic blend of old and new boasting a fascinating array of sights, from elegant shops and lively bazaars to impressive forts and mosques that were once the power-base for India's Mughal emperors. This evening, meet your Tour Director for a welcome dinner at your hotel.

Your day starts with a sightseeing tour of Old Delhi including a cycle rickshaw ride. See the splendid 17th century Mughal Red Fort before visiting landmarks such as Raj Ghat and the majestic three-domed Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in Asia. Experience a walk in the alleys of Chandni Chowk; and later, visit the ancient stepwell Agrasen Ki Baoli, which has 103 steps and a series of carved chambers and passages. This afternoon, enjoy New Delhi's major sights, including the towering Qutub Minar, ancient tomb of the Emperor Humayun; then a drive past the grand India Gate war memorial, Parliament, and Rashtrapati Bhavan.

Depart Delhi for the busy market town of Mandawa, famed for its intricately painted havelis-the ornate mansions of India's merchants and temples. Admire the splendid views over Mandawa from its fortress-topped hill before an afternoon visit to the havelis.

Travel to Bikaner and take a tour of the massive Junagarh Fortress, a formidable complex housing 37 pavilions, mirrored palaces, and exquisitely decorated balconies, chapels, and courtyards. Stroll the local bazaars and enjoy a savoury treat in the snack capital of India.

Travel to Jodhpur, once one of India's princely states. Set in the sand dunes of the Thar Desert, Jodhpur's mesmerising old city is ringed by a 10-kilometre, 8-gated wall outside of which the new city stands. Brimming with enchanting palaces, temples, havelis, and a beautiful fort, this imperious city exudes grandeur and warm hospitality. Your accommodation this evening is approximately one hour from the city in a hotel that has been home to generations of noblemen from 1622 AD.

Marvel at the grand palaces of Jodhpur's Mehrangarh Fort. Admire the splendid Jaswant Singh Ii Memorial, beautifully constructed from thin marble sheets that allow sunlight to filter in and enjoy a turban-tying demonstration. Later, take a safari to visit the local Bishnoi tribes of the desert. These communities of nature lovers protect endangered plant and tree species and prohibit poachers from killing animals.

Today, we start with a visit to the legendary amber fort, known as the "Sleeping Beauty of Rajasthan." This fortress-palace has a somber exterior that hides a richly ornate interior of royal apartments, including an alabaster Hall of Victory and a superb Chamber of Mirrors. Explore the Anokhi Museum and the City Palace Museum, with its collection of paintings, carpets, weapons, and costumes; then enjoy time at the bustling markets of the old city. NOTE: Museum visit subject to opening times.

En route to Agra this morning, stop at Fatehpur Sikri, an abandoned city. Tour the sandstone palaces, elegant courtyards, and victory gate of this ghostly place built in 1569 and deserted by its people when the water ran out. Continue to Agra and see the intricate art of pietra dura or marble inlay.

Your day begins with a visit to the famous Taj Mahal. This remarkable edifice was commissioned by Shahjahan as a memorial to his wife, Mumtaz Mahal, and took 22 years to build. Later, visit Agra Fort, a colossal, red sandstone UNESCO World Heritage Site comprising forbidding battlements and spectacular Mughal Palace with audience halls, the Room of Mirrors, and the pavilion where Shahjahan spent his last days. This afternoon, depart Agra for Gurgaon (near Delhi).
