Welcome to the “Emerald City!” At 6:30 pm, meet your traveling companions for a welcome drink. Your Tour Director will prepare you for your upcoming adventure.
This morning begins with a visit to the FUTURE OF FLIGHT AVIATION CENTER for a tour of the Boeing factory and past, present, and future developments in aviation technology. Then, return to Seattle for a guided tour including the Pike Place Market and Pioneer Square. This evening is at leisure in Seattle. Maybe visit the Space Needle or the Seattle Art Museum, with one of the nation’s premier collections of Northwest Coast Indian art and artifacts.

Travel south this morning, possibly capturing your first glimpse of Mount Rainier, a towering ice-clad volcano. Then, head for MT. RAINIER RAILROAD AND LOGGING MUSEUM, a heritage railroad that travels through forest along the Upper Nisqually River to a museum exhibiting the long history of logging and the pioneers. After lunch, continue on to Portland, known as the “City of Roses.” Visit WASHINGTON PARK, home of the INTERNATIONAL ROSE TEST GARDENS, followed by a city sightseeing tour.

A special treat awaits you this morning where Globus has specially selected RESERVED INDOOR PREMIUM SEATING for the famous Rose Festival Grand Floral Parade, the second largest all-floral parade in North America. You will experience why Portland earns its reputation as the “City of Roses” while enjoying the all-floral exhibition and entertainment. The afternoon is at your leisure where you may choose to visit the Rose Festival City Fair or stroll along the waterfront to see the fleet from the US Navy and Royal Canadian Navy who have honored Portland with a courtesy visit during the Rose Festival since 1907.

This morning, head out of the city to beautiful MULTNOMAH FALLS. Continue along the rugged Pacific coastline en route to Newport, one of Oregon’s most popular seaside resorts. This evening, enjoy a special LF behind-the-scenes tour and dinner at the OREGON COAST AQUARIUM.

As you travel down the coast today, see popular sites such as Heceta Head Lighthouse and Florence Old Town. Next, enjoy an unforgettable DUNE BUGGY ride along the ocean beach. Then, continue to your bayside hotel in the quaint village of Coos Bay.

This morning, travel south to one of Oregon’s great natural treasures, the scenic Rogue River, tumbling over 200 miles from the Cascade Mountains into the Pacific Ocean. In Gold Beach, experience a thrilling ride through this wild and remote region by LF JETBOAT, and be sure to have your camera ready for glimpses of the American bald eagle! Continue along the Pacific coastline and stop in REDWOOD NATIONAL PARK, home to the world’s tallest trees. Then, enter Eureka, California’s lumber center, where you will pass by the grand Carson Mansion—the most photographed example of Victorian architecture in the world and once the home of a West Coast lumber baron.

This morning, travel along the spectacular Avenue of the Giants, a quiet 2-lane road that winds through some of the world’s most spectacular scenery with ancient redwood trees. You will have the chance to see a 1,800-year-old redwood here! Continue to the “City by the Bay,” San Francisco, for a 2-night stay.

On our included sightseeing tour, see Golden Gate National Recreation area, including the Golden Gate Bridge and the Presidio. Also, see Twin Peaks, Fisherman’s Wharf, and much more.
