Italy is a country with so much to offer—amazing scenery, ancient ruins, a rich history, sumptuous cuisine, architectural treasures, splendid art, designer shops, and fascinating people. On this Best of Italy & Sicily tour, you’ll experience some of the most popular cities and historic sights of Italy and Sicily, including overnights in Milan, Venice Island, Florence, Rome, Naples, Capri, Pizzo Calabro, Palermo, Agrigento, and Taormina Riviera.

If art is your focus, you’ll be delighted by Michelangelo’s David in Florence and his ceiling paintings in the Sistine Chapel in Rome, which you’ll also see on this tour. Watch glassblowers in action as they create their beautiful art in Venice. Or if historical churches interest you, you’re sure to be surprised by the 12th-century Norman cathedral in Monreale, famous for its 50,000 square feet of precious byzantine mosaics; and St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome. In Monteriggioni, visit the medieval town and walk on the ramparts.

Tour highlights include the Papal Palace and Barberini Gardens in Castel Gandolfo where lunch has been prepared for you, the excavations in Pompeii, and Agrigento, where you’ll see ancient Greek structures that have survived for 2,400 years! Also visit the impressive Villa Romana del Casale in Piazza Armerina. From Naples cross the Bay of Naples by jetfoil to the Isle of Capri for an overnight stay, a funicular ride, and a guided visit to the Gardens of Augustus!

These are just a few of the many highlights on this Best of Italy & Sicily tour. So if you want to see Italy, let Globus handle the details—including special experiences such as wine tasting in Marsala, a granita tasting in Cefalù, plus various dinners at local restaurants to try the regional specialties—and all you need to do is focus your energy on experiencing this marvelous country!
