Explore Canada’s Atlantic seacoast on this scenic vacation to Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and Prince Edward Island. Your trip begins and ends in Halifax, with charming fishing villages, natural wonders, and breathtaking vistas in between. Set out for New Brunswick and the Bay of Fundy, site of the world’s highest and most dramatic tides and home to Hopewell Rocks, giant sandstone formations carved by years of tidal erosion. Spend two nights in Saint John, Canada’s oldest incorporated city, established by royal charter in 1785. Explore the charming and historic town of St. Andrews by-the-Sea and take an optional whale-watching cruise. Travel across the 8-mile Confederation Bridge to Prince Edward Island, famous for its seafood, potatoes, and red sand beaches, for a two-night stay in Charlottetown. Visit Green Gables Heritage Place the setting of the beloved novel, Anne of Green Gables. Enjoy a ferry ride back to Nova Scotia, then continue on to Cape Breton Island for a two-night stay in the town of Baddeck. Visit the Alexander Graham Bell Museum with exhibits tracing the many achievements of this great inventor who spent the last years of his life there. Keep your camera ready as you travel along the Cabot Trail, one of the most scenic drives in the world, stopping at vistas and lookouts in Cape Breton Highlands National Park, which resembles the coastal landscapes of Scotland. You’ll return to the city of Halifax for a two-night stay and take a day excursion to visit the quaint fishing village of Peggy’s Cove, home to one of Canada’s most photographed lighthouses. Continue to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Lunenburg, with its rich maritime heritage and home of the first planned British Colonial settlement in North America. From stunning scenery, charming towns, natural wonders, and historical sites—this trip has it all!
